Meet our Doctors
Dr. Frank (Bob) Traficante
Dr. Bob earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in June, 1984. He completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston and Affiliated Hospitals in June 1986, where he received the Peabody Award as the outstanding resident for 1985-1986. He entered the United States Navy Dental Corps for over 27 years and retired with the rank of CAPTAIN on 1 September 2007. During his Naval Career he served in the Philippines, Japan, Okinawa, Iceland, Great Lakes, Florida, and Washington State. He was also the Director of the Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry, Loma Linda University School of Dentistry from 28 August 2007- 30 June 2009. Dr. Bob is also Board Certified and a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also Adjunct Faculty for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University Of Florida College Of Dentistry since 1999 and the University Of Washington School Of Dentistry since 2005.
Dr. Bob enjoys scuba diving, watching football and soccer, traveling, and hiking. Dr. Bob and his wife, Cheri, have two daughters, Rebekah and Hannah, a dog named Aryell and a rabbit named Mordecai.
Dr. Larry Hartman
Dr. Hartman received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri in 1977 under a U.S. Naval Scholarship. During his time as a Navy dentist, he became convinced of the need for quality dental care during the formative years. After his discharge, he went back to school at the University of Nebraska and completed his Pediatric Residency and an additional Masters of Science in 1983. He opened his practice in Oak Harbor in 1985 and has enjoyed serving the children here ever since. In past years he has traveled to both the Ukraine and Mexico as part of a medical mission team. In 2011, Dr. Hartman retired from the U.S. Navy Reserves with a rank of Commander.
Dr Hartman and his wife, Ruth, have two grown children, and two grandchildren. When not in the clinic, you can find Dr. Hartman volunteering with his church around the Pacific Northwest, traveling, and spending time with his family.
